What exactly is NotSoGreenThumb, you ask?
NotSoGreenThumb is a "social news" site geared towards gardening and lawn care. It was created in an attempt to build a community for those of us who have an interest in gardening (and plants in general). It's meant to be a place where rank novices (like myself) who are simply trying not to kill everything they touch, as well as certifiable green thumbs can view/submit tips, tricks and experiences.
How does it work?
NotSoGreenThumb is a clone of the immensely popular sites Digg and Reddit. Members submit articles and links that they've come across on the web, or create their own editorial content. Once submitted, others can vote this content up or down based on usefulness, creativity, etc. This effectively creates a "best of" list for lawn/garden content and resources.
